Job Description

Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Mobile / In-Home) Ashburn, VA From $83 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract From $83 an hour - Part-time, Full-time, Contract Growing Hearts is a boutique pediatric occupational therapy practice serving families across Northern Virginia. Since 2020, we've done therapy differently: meeting children where they learn and play every day. Our therapists work with each child, and their family, in their homes, schools, and daycares. The real settings where skills are most meaningful and best generalized. No sterile clinic, no waiting room, no unfamiliar toys or tools that they don't have access to. Just showing up for each unique child in the spaces where they live and grow daily. We are small, intentional, and deeply committed to the families we serve. We're looking for exceptional occupational therapists who are ready to become a part of the Growing Hearts family. The Role at a Glance
    Pay:
Starting at $83.00/hour, higher rate for candidates who bring strong qualifications and feeding therapy experience.
      Type:
      1099 contract, full-time or part-time.
        Schedule:
Monday to Friday, you build your own schedule.
          Location:
Mobile across Loudoun County and the surrounding Northern Virginia area (in family homes, schools, and daycares).
            Benefits :
Flexible schedule, professional development assistance. About the Work You will carry a caseload of pediatric clients across Northern Virginia, traveling to families to deliver one-on-one occupational therapy through effective, play-based, and family-centered best practices. The children we serve present with a wide range of needs — developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, strength and coordination difficulties, socio-emotional support needs, and executive functioning growth areas, among others. This work empowers children to confidently and independently participate in their daily routines, with a holistic perspective and the flexibility to treat in the natural settings that matter most to each family. What You Will Do
            • Build genuine relationships with the families you serve, and advocate for each child.
            • Use creative, play-based therapy while intentionally addressing goals in every treatment.
            • Select and adapt the appropriate OT treatment model or approach, using best practices for each child.
            • Educate and guide caregivers to drive progress toward goals.
            • Work in collaboration with the child's care team, keeping the child's best interests at the center.
            • Recommend adaptive equipment and train families on its use as needed.
            • Collect data and document skilled interventions to report on progress toward long- and short-term goals. Who You Are (This Matters Most to Us)
            • Understand the honor it is to be invited into someone's home. We become family.
            • Warm, patient, and genuinely caring with kids and parents alike.
            • Reliable. You do what you say you will do, you show up on time, and families can count on you.
            • Consistency via care. Our families build relationships with their therapist, and a steady commitment to them is everything in this work.
            • We value a culture of honest, respectful communication. Whether with our families, our team, and leadership, we are looking for someone who brings that same integrity to everything they do.
            • Comfortable working independently in family homes and natural settings, and energized by it.
            • You hold yourself to a high standard without being told to.
            • We can teach the pediatric-specific skills. We cannot teach character. If you are the right person and a licensed OT, we will invest in helping you grow into the pediatric work! What You Bring
