Job Type Full time These roles focus on helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, or surgeries and improve their physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Involves assessing, planning, and providing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' abilities to perform daily activities and achieve their rehabilitation goals. These roles are responsible for helping patients to develop, recover, or maintain skills needed for daily living and working, enabling patients to perform every day activities that are important to their independence, health and well-being. Occupational therapists assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans. This position is based in UVA Health's Women's and Children's Hospital and provides occupational therapy services in an inpatient pediatric setting, serving infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of medical complexities. Performs occupational therapy evaluations according to professional standards and departmental guidelines. Demonstrates knowledge of intervention options and executes a program of skilled occupational therapy intervention. Actively participates in professional growth of self and others. Actively participates in quality improvement and program development. Compensation will be determined by HR and is based on relevant experience, education and internal equity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Experience:
None.
Licensure:
Licensed to practice in Occupational Therapy in the Commonwealth of Virginia. New grads must be licensed within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. The pay range for this role is $33.94
  • $54.
30 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
