Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in a school-based setting as a contracted Occupational Therapist. Located approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, DC, this role offers the chance to make a positive impact within the educational community. The assignment will run from August 3, 2026, through May 26, 2027. Final hours and schedule will be determined in collaboration with school leadership.
Key Qualifications:
Valid and active Occupational Therapist license in Virginia (VA OT License required) Experience or interest in working with children or adolescents in educational environments Willingness to engage with school personnel and families to support student goals Capability to adapt to a dynamic caseload and varying assignment details Commitment to completing the Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly Ability to obtain a current TB test as mandated by the state
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students as assigned Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement individualized plans Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state requirements Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families Potential to serve multiple campuses or students across varying age groups, with specific details forthcoming
