Job Description

Category Therapy - Skilled - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services to students in a supportive school setting near Onancock, VA. In this contract position, you'll deliver hands-on care while making a meaningful difference in the lives of children requiring skilled therapy support.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist in Virginia (VA OT) Experience in school-based and healthcare OT settings Proficiency with completing student assessments Skilled in supervising and guiding Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) Strong communication and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and adapt to varied student needs Must complete all work on-site (in-person)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 20-25 students Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized intervention plans Oversee, mentor, and support COTAs within the school environment Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure students' progress and success Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with all state and district guidelines Engage in team meetings and contribute professional insights for student care This role offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, making it ideal for professionals who value structure while desiring to create lasting, positive impacts each day.
