Company Overview Soundstart Pediatric Therapy Center is a growing private practice in the pediatric therapy industry, dedicated to providing specialized therapy services for children. Our mission is to enhance the lives of children through tailored therapeutic interventions in a supportive environment. Summary We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soundstart Pediatric Therapy Center in the Winchester VA area. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to children, helping them achieve their developmental goals and improve their daily living skills. Requirements VA/WV state license for Occupational Therapy (or willing to obtain) Positive, Compassionate personality CPR certification CE Maintenance annually AOTA member preferred Excellent written and verbal skills, attention to detail Desire to work with early intervention and school aged children. Proficient computer skills and/or familiar with online documentation systems. Responsibilities Assess and evaluate children's needs to develop personalized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance children's functional abilities. Collaborate with families and other professionals to support each child's progress. Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Educate families on strategies to support their child's development at home. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care. Provide guidance and support for children with autism and other developmental challenges. Stay current with best practices and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy. Qualifications Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program/ COTA program completed. Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapy Assistant. Strong knowledge of pediatric development and therapeutic techniques. Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or disabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices. Passion for improving children's lives through effective therapy.
