The occupational therapist is part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing evidence-based interventions to acute rehabilitation patients. The occupational therapist collaborates with the rehabilitation team to develop a comprehensive plan of care to prepare the patients for a successful discharge. They work with a variety of patient neurological diagnoses as well as patients post multi-trauma and amputation. Occupational therapy addresses the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, sensory, and other aspects of performance in a variety of contexts to support engagement in everyday life activities that affect health, well-being, and quality of life. Educates and prepares patients/families and caregivers for continued care after discharge. The occupational therapist may be involved in consultative services within the organization and in the community. The occupational therapist demonstrates dedication to professional growth and development and to the continuous improvement of patient care.
Education:
Bachelor's of Science or higher degree from an Accredited Occupational Therapy program Licensed or eligible to be licensed to practice occupational therapy in the
