Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to make a significant impact across a vibrant K-12 school community near Springfield, VT! This district-wide role supports four school buildings, providing essential services to students from Kindergarten through high school. If you thrive in educational environments and are passionate about empowering young learners to succeed, this contract position offers the chance to work collaboratively within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Key Qualifications:

Hold a valid Vermont Occupational Therapy Certificate Experience in school-based occupational therapy (K-12 preferred) Strong assessment, intervention, and documentation skills Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple age groups and buildings Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Flexibility and adaptability to serve varied needs throughout the district

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver occupational therapy services to students across four school sites Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and document progress Support students' participation and performance in school routines and activities Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other service providers Offer recommendations and strategies to help students access curriculum and achieve goals Adapt interventions to meet a wide range of abilities and needs within the K-12 population The assignment is full-time, 35-37.5 hours per week, running from August 26, 2026 to June 14, 2027.
