Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a contract Occupational Therapist working in an educational environment near Monroe, WA! Employ your expertise in schools and healthcare settings to help children and young adults reach their fullest potential. This contract opportunity lets you engage with students across various environments, including in-person at schools and in virtual teletherapy sessions, equipping you to deliver flexible, effective care.
Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare OT settings; school experience is highly valued Competency with teletherapy platforms, documentation, and adapting interventions to virtual formats Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, educators, and other clinicians Ability to develop individualized therapy plans, monitor progress, and adapt strategies as needed Familiarity with IEP processes and contributing to special education teams
What You'll Do:
Provide direct therapy sessions for students in schools and home settings, both in-person and via teletherapy Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized goals and treatment approaches Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success Document progress, manage caseloads, and contribute to student IEP meetings Adapt therapy activities to promote skill-building in functional, educational contexts Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices and strategies
