Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, full-time contract opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in school settings. This position stretches across the entire school year and offers the chance to make a significant impact on students' daily success near picturesque Mount Vernon, WA. You will support students across a variety of ages and abilities, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams and educational staff. The focus is on fostering students' independence, participation, and meeting their learning and developmental needs through individualized interventions. What you'll bring: Valid Occupational Therapist license (OTR) in Washington Experience working in schools or a similar pediatric setting Strong understanding of IEP development and special education processes Demonstrated skill in assessment, goal setting, and delivering evidence-based interventions Outstanding communication abilities for effective interaction with students, families, and staff Flexibility, organization, and a collaborative spirit Your daily responsibilities: Evaluate students to assess needs and develop tailored intervention plans within the IEP framework Deliver both direct and consultative OT services in classroom and pull-out formats Document services provided and maintain accurate case records in line with school guidelines Monitor progress and adjust strategies as needed to support student growth Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families for whole-child support Participate in IEP meetings, share expertise, and advise on adaptations and accommodations This full-year contract position offers the satisfaction of guiding students toward greater independence, as well as professional development and ongoing support throughout your assignment.
