Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Active ESA certification Current Washington OT license Fingerprinting through OSPI required prior to assignment Previous experience working in a school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of pediatric OT best practices Skilled in evidence-based interventions and creating individualized plans Excellent communication abilities for collaboration with educators and familiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct occupational therapy services to a caseload of 32 elementary students Perform evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitor student progress Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to foster student independence and success Adapt therapy strategies to classroom routines and activities Cultivate a positive and engaging environment to encourage student achievement Participate in IEP and staff meetings to support multidisciplinary planning This contract position runs from ASAP through June 11, 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 7.5 hours per day during the academic year. You'll work exclusively in-person, allowing for hands-on collaboration and relationship building with students and staff.
