Your expertise will contribute significantly to student success, collaborating with educators and families to develop individualized approaches that foster growth and independence.
Qualifications:
Licensed Occupational Therapist, eligible for practice in Washington State Experience in school-based OT settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and processes Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Adaptable and proactive in creative problem-solving Comfortable working with a diverse student population across age groups
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate students' needs, developing and implementing individualized therapy interventions Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities Contribute to IEP meetings and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines Provide direct and consultative OT services to support students' access to curriculum and school participation Educate school staff and families regarding adaptive tools, modifications, and strategies Track student progress, making adjustments to interventions as needed
