Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Located near Kenosha, WI, this role provides the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elementary students, supporting their growth and development within the school environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapist license in Wisconsin (or eligibility) Previous experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric setting Understanding of IDEA and IEP process Ability to manage a caseload of 35-45 students efficiently Skilled in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills Evaluate, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with diverse needs Conduct assessments, document progress, and maintain accurate records Collaborate with classroom teachers and multidisciplinary team members to ensure holistic student support Consult with parents/guardians to facilitate carryover of interventions at home Participate in IEP meetings and provide input for student success Adapt interventions to enhance accessibility, participation, and outcomes for each student This contract position offers a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will be empowered to use your expertise to foster independence and functional skills in elementary-aged children.
