Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and rewarding opportunity where your expertise as an Occupational Therapist can make a significant difference in the lives of elementary students. This contract position covers the 2026-2027 school year and offers the chance to collaborate with a dedicated education team near Waterford, WI. You'll work with a manageable caseload—typically between 35-45 students—providing essential services that foster student growth and development.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation requirements Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to engage and motivate elementary-aged children Flexibility and adaptability in varying educational environments
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional skills in fine motor, sensory, and self-care areas Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, primarily at the elementary level Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other service providers Monitor and document student progress, making adjustments as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning Provide training and support for staff on implementing OT strategies in the classroom
