Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact by providing occupational therapy services in a vibrant school environment. This contract position offers an opportunity to support elementary-aged students as they learn and grow. You'll be stepping in for maternity leave coverage, engaging with a diverse caseload of 44 students spanning pre-K to 5th grade across two elementary schools. Offering a blend of challenge and reward, this position is perfect for passionate OTs looking to broaden their school-based experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid West Virginia OT License required Background in school-based settings preferred Experience with healthcare, home health, or teletherapy OT is highly valued Strong collaborative and communication skills Ability to effectively manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services onsite (37.5 hours per week) Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies tailored to each student's goals Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results with teachers, staff, and families Serve students at two elementary school locations in grades pre-K through 5th Collaborate with educational teams to develop IEPs and support classroom integration Consult with families and educators to promote carryover of therapy strategies in school and home environments
