The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for evaluating, planning, and delivering individualized occupational therapy services to help patients develop, regain, or maintain independence in daily activities following illness, injury, or disability. Working under the supervision of the Director of Rehab, the OT collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with Campbell County Health's mission and values. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, establishing and implementing plans of care, recommending adaptive equipment, educating patients and caregivers, delegating tasks as appropriate, and maintaining accurate and timely documentation. The OT supports departmental goals, contributes to program development and performance improvement initiatives, and practices in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs patient assessment and documents in patient record that which reflects skilled treatment, time billed and accurate utilization of CPT codes. Develops an age-appropriate plan of care, which addresses physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs, in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Implements the plan of care, delegates appropriately and ensures documentation of interventions, completing all daily notes, charges and other paperwork per CCH policy. Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in maintaining an up-to-date supervisory form as per the WYOT State Practice Act, and adheres to the statutes governing practice of the OT. Sees all patients as scheduled and assists with other patient needs throughout the continuum if needed, demonstrating fiscal responsibility, accountability, time management, and prioritization skills. Provide supervision of OTA and students in a manner that ensures safe and efficient care in accordance with CMS rules, the NBCOT and WYOT statues. Evaluates progress towards desired outcomes, revises plan of care and intervenes as necessary, completing progress notes timely to provide support for continuation of skilled therapy. Educates patient and families regarding current health status, plan of care, and anticipated outcomes. Provides service excellence to all customers and positive interpersonal relations with all team members. Maintains professional standards related to clinical practice, staffing and continuing education. Works scheduled work hours and participates in weekend coverage to meet patient needs; is flexible during times of high and low census and will provide coverage to other CCH service lines as needed. Maintains a clean and safe working environment that is conducive to high quality care. Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and regulations, and hospital policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. This list is non-exhaustive. Qualifications Education Graduate of an approved/accredited occupational therapy school. Licensure Must be licensed in, or be eligible to be licensed, in the State of Wyoming. Current license holders must be in good standing with the WYOT. Experience One year experience preferred.
