School-Based COTA

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed for the 2026-2027 school year to support students in a PreK through 8th-grade educational setting. This contract position is based in Glendale, AZ, offering the opportunity to work with diverse age groups ranging from PreK to 8th grade, with specific openings for PreK only, K-6, and K-8 configurations.

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students aged PreK to 8th grade, addressing developmental and functional needs. Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized therapy plans. Monitor student progress and adjust therapy approaches accordingly. Document all therapy sessions, assessments, and student progress in compliance with school and regulatory requirements. Support classroom activities to integrate therapy goals and promote student participation.

Qualifications:

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required. Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings preferred. Ability to engage with students across a broad age range and developmental levels. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with school personnel and families. Current certification and licensure adhering to state regulations for occupational therapy assistants.
