Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide full-time support throughout the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you'll be working with high school students, collaborating closely with a virtual Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals. Extended School Year (ESY) work is available for those interested in continuing their impact beyond the regular school year.

Qualifications and Experience:

Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Active COTA license Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Comfortable providing support to high school-aged students Ability to work collaboratively with a virtual OT as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills Passion for facilitating student success and independence

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct therapy services to high school students as directed by the supervising OT Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collect and document data on student progress and maintain accurate records Participate in team meetings, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff Adapt activities and materials to support student participation and access to curriculum Communicate regularly with virtual OT and educational staff regarding student needs and progress Opportunity to provide ESY services if desired This contract position offers the unique opportunity to work the entire school year with the potential for additional ESY work.
