Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Trellis Location:
Chino, CA Pay Range:
$40.00-$42.00 per hour, DOE Trellis is a beautiful skilled nursing facility located in Chino, California. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. This position supports quality patient care by implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Position Purpose:
To assist in delivering high-quality, patient-centered occupational therapy services in accordance with established treatment plans, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement and carry out patient treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members Provide timely, accurate written documentation in accordance with facility and departmental requirements Report any changes in patient status or treatment needs to the supervising therapist promptly Coordinate treatment goals with other members of the care team Accurately prepare and submit patient charges to support appropriate billing Support departmental operations, initiatives, and quality improvement efforts Continue developing clinical and professional skills through ongoing education and training
Requirements and Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an AOTA or ACOTE-accredited program Current certification and good standing with all applicable regulatory agencies and licensing boards Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to patient confidentiality Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional working relationships Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; adherence to company Code of Conduct and compliance policies Completion of all mandatory compliance and ethics training
