No previous experience with eating disorders? That's okay! We are happy to train you on the information you'll need to best serve our clients. The Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker (MHRW) is an integral part of the rehabilitation of clients at Sunol Hills in Lafayette. The primary responsibilities include providing support and supervision to clients at our facility. This is a great position for someone looking to gain valuable experience in the mental health field! Unlike programs that are held in a psychiatric unit or hospital-like facility, Sunol Hills at Oakview is held in a natural home setting to better engage the individual in the recovery process. Our clients participate in a highly-structured recovery program and work with a team of specialists who help them resolve the behavioral or emotional issues associated with their eating disorder, and give them the tools necessary to help them work through future challenges and re-integrate back into the community

Requirements:

Key Tasks And Responsibilities In collaboration with the Program Administrator and clinical team, the MHRW will: Assist with activities involving rehabilitation and therapy. Be responsible for administrative tasks, such as completing progress notes and other client documentation. Provide support and supervision during client meals and between groups. Supervise and escort clients to medical and dental appointments, community outings, and other activities. Assist with household chores, shopping and meal preparation. Attend monthly staff meetings, including in-service trainings. •Please be advised that Sunol Hills at Oakview is taking every precaution to keep both clients and staff safe amid the

pandemic. Incoming clients must receive a negative COVID test prior to admission, and staff are provided masks to wear at all times while onsite. We also maintain a thorough cleaning and sanitization schedule, conduct temperature checks, and currently limit visitors to solely parent/guardian meetings outdoors with clients. Requirements

EXPERIENCE

At least one (1) year experience in mental health work, preferably in a residential setting preferred. If no experience, we will train. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. B.A. Degree in psychology, social welfare or counseling is preferred. Must provide a transcript regarding educational background. Other Requirements Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening. Must provide TB testing. Must have valid California Driver's License; good driving record. Proof of current auto insurance and must meet insurability requirements of Sunol Hills insurance carrier.
