As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll directly impact children's lives by helping them develop critical skills in an engaging educational environment. This part-time role offers 10-15 hours each week, providing a flexible schedule to suit your lifestyle.
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience within a school setting, or a strong passion for working with children and adolescents Understanding of IEP documentation and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and a patient, compassionate approach Strong communication skills for partnering with teachers, parents, and therapy teams
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to implement therapy programs and interventions for students with diverse needs Support students in developing fine motor, visual-motor, and sensory processing skills crucial for academic success Assist with the execution of individualized education program (IEP) goals and document student progress Adapt activities and materials under OT guidance to foster student participation in school routines Participate in team meetings, share insights, and contribute to planning for student growth This contract position allows you to make a meaningful difference while maintaining work-life balance during the school year.
