School-Based COTA

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to contribute to student support services in a school setting. This contract position, located in Nevada City, CA, offers the choice of a half-time or full-time schedule for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Responsibilities:

Provide occupational therapy services to students to enhance their ability to participate in school activities Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and educational staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Conduct assessments to evaluate students' needs and monitor progress Utilize evidence-based techniques to support fine motor, sensory, and functional skills development Document therapy sessions and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working with children in a school environment preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to diverse student populations Commitment to supporting educational goals and student success
