Job Description

AB Ayudando Familias is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and dependable Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) Specialist to join our behavioral health team in Central Florida. The PSR Specialist provides individualized, strengths-based rehabilitation services to children, adolescents, adults, and families with mental health needs. The goal is to help individuals develop and strengthen the skills necessary to improve daily functioning, increase independence, and achieve personal recovery goals. Key Responsibilities Provide individualized PSR services in accordance with each client's treatment plan. Teach and reinforce coping skills, communication skills, emotional regulation, problem-solving, and independent living skills. Assist clients in improving social, educational, vocational, and community functioning. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, families, schools, and other community providers. Monitor client progress and communicate significant changes to the treatment team. Participate in treatment planning, supervision, and staff meetings. Ensure services comply with state regulations, Medicaid requirements, and agency policies. Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or a related field preferred. Experience working with individuals with mental health or behavioral health needs preferred. Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles and recovery-oriented care. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance (if travel is required). Preferred Skills Experience with Medicaid documentation and behavioral health services. Crisis intervention and de-escalation skills. Cultural competency and trauma-informed care. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
