Position Overview Assists in providing quality rehabilitation care to residents under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist as outlined in the plan of care for occupational, physical or speech therapy; may provide routine daily nursing care to assigned residents in accordance with laws, regulations and facility guidelines.
Basic Qualifications Education & Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent; successfully completed a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)program, possess a current certification in good standing; must have CPR certification.
Experience:
One year of experience in a rehab setting or in health care is preferred; minimum of six months experience in a long-term care or other geriatric care environment. Essential Job Duties 1.Follows the resident care plan and assists in providing rehabilitation care services as directed by the supervising therapist. 2.Conducts individual and group therapy sessions with residents. 3.Assists residents in preparing for rehab services and transports residents from room to therapy gym. 4.Cleans, maintains, stores and inventories rehab equipment in accordance with facility guidelines. 5.Maintains a positive working relationship with residents and families.
