Job Description

Job Function Summary The Rehab Coordinator acts as an administrative and operational coordinator of all therapy services under direction of the Rehab Director. The Rehab Coordinator is responsible for patient and therapist scheduling and treatment minute mapping on a daily basis as well as managing daily labor hours and staffing decisions. The Rehab Coordinator is also responsible to attend and independently represent therapy at specified meetings as assigned. Essential Job Functions Demonstrates effective, professional, and timely communication on job related issues within all levels of the organization and with the customer. Implements and coordinates effective daily staffing, minute mapping, and interdisciplinary patient scheduling that promotes optimal patient care delivery, efficiency, and cost effectiveness. Includes the ability to manage daily labor hours and coordinate overtime and PTO management. Maintains awareness of changes in patient census and therapy programs. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current reimbursement models and applicable treatment service provision guidelines. Attends and independently represents therapy department at meetings as assigned. Ensures that rehab services and therapist labor is scheduled in compliance with all supervisory, CHS and facility policies and procedures, state, federal, and professional organization regulatory standards and guidelines. Runs and analyzes key reports and coordinates results with Rehab Director. Compiles monthly therapy statistical reports related to labor, treatment provision, and related job functions. Demonstrates a high level of customer service aptitude to ensure positive, productive relationships with all employees and customer. Demonstrates positive attitude and functions as a role model for all staff while assisting to facilitate a positive therapy team culture. Reports to work as scheduled. Additional Job Functions Completes forms and records, making copies, filing forms, obtaining necessary signatures and maintaining orderly and accurate patient records. Assists Rehab Director in month end billing reconciliation procedures and completion of the monthly triple check forms. Assists in Orientation procedures for new hires. Answers phones and handles customers in a professional and courteous manner. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma, and 1 year of health care experience preferred. Office management or office administration experience preferred. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills Proficient with basic computer skills (MS office, Outlook, etc.) in order to complete required job duties Strong organizational skills in order to effectively maintain multiple projects simultaneously Requires creativity as well as the ability to work independently Working Conditions Typical therapy clinic and office environment. Requires ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends and travel.
