Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health issues. Your primary focus will be on fostering independence, enhancing life skills, and promoting community integration through personalized care and behavioral interventions. Responsibilities Provide psychiatric rehabilitation services in accordance with individualized rehabilitation plans (IRPs). Assist individuals in developing independent living, social, coping, and daily living skills. Support participants in achieving recovery, wellness, employment, educational, and community integration goals. Conduct assessments and participate in treatment planning meetings. Monitor participant progress and document services accurately and timely. Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support when necessary. Assist participants with accessing community resources, benefits, healthcare, housing, employment, and educational services. Educate participants and families on mental health recovery and wellness strategies. Coordinate services with therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, and other providers. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and agency policies. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and quality improvement activities. Ensure compliance with state regulations, Medicaid requirements, and accreditation standards. Transport participants when authorized and necessary for service delivery. Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards at all times. Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders Strong understanding of special education principles and behavioral health practices Proficiency in behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members Ability to assist with ADLs and provide compassionate caregiving in home or community settings Knowledge of data collection methods for tracking client progress and service outcomes Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for safe transportation duties Familiarity with medication administration procedures and documentation requirements Experience in home & community care environments or social work is highly desirable Join us if you're passionate about empowering individuals through compassionate support, skill-building, and community engagement! Qualifications:
Rehabilitation counselor who is currently certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification; or Bachelor's prepared certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner currently certified by the U.S. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses or behavioral health needs preferred. Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation, case management, residential services, or community-based support preferred.
Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Bachelor's (Preferred)
