Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (PRS) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. This position is ideal for individuals who are committed to helping adults with mental health challenges develop the skills necessary to achieve greater independence, stability, and overall well-being. Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs) and Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSWs) are strongly encouraged to apply. Fully licensed clinicians, including LCPCs and LCSW-Cs, are also encouraged to apply, as opportunities may be available to combine this role with outpatient therapy services. As part of our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) , the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist will facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups multiple times per week, provide rehabilitation support services, complete clinical documentation, and assist participants in achieving individualized treatment goals. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking hands-on experience in group facilitation, rehabilitation services, and community-based behavioral health care. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans tailored to each participant's needs, strengths, and recovery goals. Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic group sessions at least twice weekly, covering topics such as coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, self-esteem, stress management, relapse prevention, and community integration. Provide individual rehabilitation interventions to support participants in achieving treatment plan objectives. Complete timely and accurate progress notes, treatment plans, monthly summaries, and other required clinical documentation in accordance with program and regulatory standards. Monitor participant progress and collect data to evaluate outcomes and inform treatment planning. Assist participants with developing independent living skills, social skills, vocational readiness, and community functioning. Utilize behavioral health and recovery-oriented approaches to support participants in managing symptoms and achieving personal goals. Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, case managers, families, caregivers, and other community providers to ensure coordinated care. Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development activities. Provide crisis support and intervention as needed within the scope of the role. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field required. LGPC, LGSW, LCPC, LCSW-C, LMSW, or other behavioral health licensure preferred. Licensed Graduate Professional Counselors (LGPCs) and Licensed Graduate Social Workers (LGSWs) are encouraged to apply. Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health disorders, behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, or co-occurring conditions preferred. Experience facilitating groups, psychoeducational workshops, or therapeutic interventions is highly desirable. Strong clinical writing and documentation skills, including treatment planning and progress note completion. Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles, recovery-oriented care, and behavioral health practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse populations. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data collection practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred for community-based services.
