Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Rehabilitation Specialist to join our dynamic clinical team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral and mental health care to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults with developmental disabilities, co-occurring disorders, and mental health conditions. Your expertise will support clients through intake assessments, individual and group therapy sessions, crisis management, and behavioral interventions. ResponsibilitieS 1. Provide mental health skill-based rehab services to children and adolescents in coordination with agency policy. 2. Perform rehabilitation assessments for new program participants. 3. Create and distribute welcome letters to new program participants and their families. 4. To work collaboratively with children, adolescents, and family team members of program participants. 5. To deliver professional services that are competent and outlined in the client's treatment plan. 6. Contribute to the development of the client's treatment plan with the families and other providers. 7. Collaborate with the assigned clinician, local schools, and families to address client issues. 8. Attend and participate in client-scheduled meetings. 9. Visit the client in various settings (home, community, school, outpatient clinics). 10. Be able to have a good rapport with the children, adolescents, and their families. 11. Must complete all assigned duties and other duties as assigned by the site or medical director. 12. Supervise direct care staff, complete evaluations, supervision meetings, and assist with disciplinary actions as needed. Provides guidance, oversight, and instructions for staff to help them perform their best work. 13. Responsible for completing other duties as assigned and necessary to ensure effective service and program continuity.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Must either be a licensed mental health professional or is a rehabilitation counselor who is currently certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification or a master's prepared psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner currently certified by the U.S. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association. Maryland Licensure. Required as LMSW or Higher (LCSW-C, LGPC, or LCPC). 2 Years of Direct Care Experience in Mental Health. The license must be maintained during the employee's entire tenure. The employee is responsible for acquiring the necessary continuing education units to renew their license promptly. The employee is also responsible for ensuring human resources has current copies of the license on file.
