Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Administration:
Provide strategic and administrative leadership for the MSOT program, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and stakeholder coordination.Accreditation and Compliance:
Serve as the ACOTE- designated Program Director responsible for achieving, maintaining, and documenting accreditation compliance.
Curriculum, Assessment, and Student Success:
Lead curriculum design, assessment, and continuous improvement to ensure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.Faculty Recruitment and Development:
Recruit, supervise, and support faculty to ensure excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.Teaching, Scholarship, and Service:
Teach occupational therapy courses, maintain an active research agenda, and engage in institutional and professional service. Minimum Qualifications Initial certification as an occupational therapist and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina. Earned doctoral degree (PhD, OTD , EdD, or equivalent) from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accredited institution. Minimum of eight (8) years of documented experience in occupational therapy, including clinical practice. At least four (4) years of experience as a faculty member with postsecondary teaching responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in academic administration, including program planning, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting. Knowledge of ACOTE accreditation standards and processes. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a program through initial ACOTE accreditation or major accreditation review. Demonstrated success in curriculum development and program assessment. Evidence of sustained scholarly productivity and professional engagement. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
