Job Description

Atlantic Health is seeking a dependable and compassionate full-time outpatient
  • Rehabilitation Aide
  • to support the daily operations of our Atlantic Rehabilitation department in Wayne, NJ.
This entry-level position plays a vital role in assisting both staff and patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all who enter our care environment. This is a great opportunity to begin or continue your healthcare career in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in a supportive, team-oriented setting! This position will be providing their service on Monday-Friday. Principal Accountabilities for the
Rehabilitation Aide:
  • Provides with non-clinical assistance during treatment sessions as directed by licensed therapists
  • Monitors patient safety in the gym and notifies clinicians of any concerns
  • Prepares treatment areas prior to patient sessions
  • Clean and sanitizes equipment and treatment spaces per infection control policies
  • Performs routine safety checks on equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Stock supplies and maintains rehab inventory
  • Maintains compliance with HIPAA and hospital documentation standards
  • Communicates effectively with therapists, front desk staff, and clinical leadership
  • Participates in departmental meetings and required training
  • Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
1. Prior experience working with patients preferred and candidates who are pursuing a career in PT, OT, or SLP is strongly preferred.
