Rehabilitation Aide
to support the daily operations of our Atlantic Rehabilitation department in Wayne, NJ.
This entry-level position plays a vital role in assisting both staff and patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all who enter our care environment. This is a great opportunity to begin or continue your healthcare career in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy in a supportive, team-oriented setting! This position will be providing their service on Monday-Friday. Principal Accountabilities for the
Rehabilitation Aide:
Provides with non-clinical assistance during treatment sessions as directed by licensed therapists
Monitors patient safety in the gym and notifies clinicians of any concerns
Prepares treatment areas prior to patient sessions
Clean and sanitizes equipment and treatment spaces per infection control policies
Performs routine safety checks on equipment and report maintenance needs
Stock supplies and maintains rehab inventory
Maintains compliance with HIPAA and hospital documentation standards
Communicates effectively with therapists, front desk staff, and clinical leadership
Participates in departmental meetings and required training
Adheres to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements as assigned.
Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
1. Prior experience working with patients preferred and candidates who are pursuing a career in PT, OT, or SLP is strongly preferred.
