Job Description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Duties and Responsibilities Implement treatment plans established by the occupational therapist, including exercises and activities, to improve motor and cognitive abilities Evaluate and document patient progress Monitor and adjust treatments accordingly Assist with activities of daily living to help improve patient independence Demonstrate therapeutic exercises and teach patients how to perform them Provide feedback and support to patients and families Work with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient needs are met Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Requirements and Qualifications Certification in Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience working in an occupational therapy setting preferred Able to communicate effectively with patients and their families Knowledge of the principles, procedures, and techniques of occupational therapy Knowledge of common medical conditions, disabilities, and the effects on patient functioning Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Physical strength and dexterity for patient-handling tasks Other duties as assigned Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Tobosa Early Intervention is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This position will assist us in growing our early intervention program working with children from birth to 3 years of age. The COTA will work with the therapist to provide individualized care and treatment to patients. The successful candidate will work with a variety of patients with different physical and mental impairments. Monday•Friday 8:00 am•5:00 pm
Pay Range:
