Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center - Erie, PA Position Overview Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center is currently seeking a PRN/Weekend Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our exceptional rehabilitation team. Educational Requirements & Experience Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program Current Pennsylvania State COTA license in good standing Prior experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting is preferred, but not required Key Responsibilities Duties are varied and include, but are not limited to: Measure, document, and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans Observe residents during treatment sessions and document progress accurately Evaluate residents' ability to function independently in daily activities Assist residents in performing therapeutic exercises and functional activities Treat residents using a variety of therapeutic techniques as directed Instruct and assist residents in the safe use of adaptive equipment and devices Educate residents on proper exercise techniques and functional strategies Maintain resident trust and confidence by protecting confidential information Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations , as well as professional standards Work cooperatively and collaboratively with the Nightingale interdisciplinary care team Go the extra mile by engaging positively with residents and responding to their needs with compassion and professionalism Why Join Nightingale Nursing & Rehab Center?
