Job Description

Purpose:
To receive Environmental Services (EVS) training and learn to clean all aspects of assigned areas, including patient rooms, public areas, offices and equipment, to meet Hospital and Department standards in order to promote the quality of care rendered in the environment.
Responsibilities:
Attend the three-week training program to learn the following skills/duties: Thoroughly clean assigned patient rooms, common areas, and bathrooms Prepare discharged rooms for subsequent patients in an efficient manner Handle the facilities' waste management and materials stocking Clean up blood spills, IV leaks, and various other bodily fluids and waste in a professional manner Comply with all EVS EIC training program policies and procedures, including safety, personal conduct, and dress code.
