Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide quality care and support to patients in our outpatient clinic. This role is essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic activities and exercises tailored to each patient's needs. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions in compliance with facility policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the clinical environment. Requirements Current licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational health principles. Experience or familiarity with geriatrics and pediatrics is preferred. Ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including acute care facilities. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care with compassion and empathy. Familiarity with clinic operations and patient care protocols is a plus.
