1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with long-term care experience for a day shift position in Snyder, TX. Details Long-term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility setting Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week No weekend or on-call requirements Requirements Active TX OTA license or compact license required; license required if applicable Minimum 2 years of OTA experience in a long-term care setting DOR (Director of Rehabilitation) experience preferred Current BLS certification required Additional Information Implement therapy plans developed by the supervising OT, guiding patients through therapeutic exercises to improve motor skills and coordination Train patients and caregivers in ADLs (bathing, dressing, eating) using adaptive techniques and equipment such as reachers, mobility aids, and modified utensils Document patient progress, behavioral changes, and safety concerns, reporting findings to the supervising OT for treatment plan adjustments Provide emotional support to patients and caregiver education for home programs Prepare treatment areas, maintain equipment, and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling and billing Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position References are not required for consideration
