Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support student success within a dynamic school setting! This contract position is ideal for those who thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for working with children and adolescents. Enjoy a structured part-time schedule—21.75 hours per week over three days (8:30 am-3:45 pm)—at a single campus, making it easy to build meaningful relationships and foster consistent support for your students. Responsibilities include providing direct therapy services, collaborating with teachers and school staff, implementing individualized education plans, maintaining detailed progress notes, and assisting with evaluations. The caseload consists of approximately 45 students, offering a fulfilling mix of ages and needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Holds a current Utah Professional License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school setting preferred Solid understanding of educational, developmental, and social-emotional needs of children and adolescents Skilled communicator with teachers, parents, and students Ability to follow customized IEP goals and document therapy sessions accurately Adaptable and able to work independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team
