Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-time in Ashland, AL Job Overview A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists licensed Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative care to patients with physical, developmental, emotional, or cognitive challenges. This role focuses on improving patient independence and quality of life through guided therapeutic activities.
Job Details Schedule:
Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
Compensation:
$22 - $26 per hour Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and implementing patient treatment plans Conduct therapeutic activities under Occupational Therapist supervision Monitor, document, and report patient progress Instruct patients and families on therapy techniques and equipment use Support improvement of motor, cognitive, physical, and emotional skills Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records Collaborate with healthcare team members to support patient outcomes Modify treatment plans as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program NBCOT certification and state licensure required CPR/BLS certification preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a healthcare team environment Compassionate, patient-centered approach Knowledge of therapy tools, safety standards, and healthcare compliance Apply Today Submit your updated resume for immediate consideration. prior2 Favorite may use AI in its hiring processes.
