Job Description

Farris Therapy is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at our Cabot location! Our therapists enjoy a fun, professional, and easygoing environment with flexible schedule as an added benefit; typical treatment days are Monday through Thursday, with the provision of Friday for makeup sessions and/or evaluation sessions. We are passionate about helping our clients to achieve their full potential, while providing their families with advocacy skills and home exercises to carry over in all environments. We provide an EMR login for therapists, but it is their responsibility to have a computer/laptop for documentation purposes. Farris Therapy will cover the first year of malpractice insurance for therapists if this is not yet established, and provide necessary assessments for testing within the clinic setting. $200 CEU credit is provided yearly for therapists to continue to grow in knowledge and passion for learning and license requirements. Therapeutic equipment is provided in the clinic, but therapists are encouraged to bring their preferred items as wanted/needed for sessions. Some travel to daycares in the local area is required, but majority of caseload is treated in office setting. This position is a contract-based position, in which therapist would be allotted a 1099 for tax purposes at the end of the year; administrative assistance can be provided for interpretation within this realm.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement pediatric occupational therapy goals after completing thorough professional evaluations Work directly with patients and their families to achieve their highest level of potential Evaluate effects of therapy treatment and communicate patients' progress to their parents/caregivers Record and document patient care services Collaborate with other team personnel to achieve well-rounded care
Qualifications:
Previous experience in pediatric occupational therapy preferred, but not required Ability to handle physical workload Ability to build connect with and rapport with patients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Great collaboration skills with other therapy professionals in the clinic setting Good time management skills; can effectively use EMR scheduling Current AR state certification Current Occupational Therapy licensure
