Job Description
The Children's Center for Neurodevelopmental Studies in downtown Glendale is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. We are a non-profit private school that serves children with Autism, developmental delays and emotional disability. We are looking for a COTA to provide direct therapy services for our school. The COTA will provide individualized therapeutic services and implement therapeutic interventions to address the goals and objectives for students under supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Essential job functions in this role include demonstration of clinical reasoning in treatment planning, collaborating with teachers on strategies to utilize in the classroom, creative problem solving, and behavior management. It also includes implementing services which comply with services detailed in the IEPs, monitoring the students' progress, and thorough documentation of all services. The therapist must be able to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team and effectively communicate client progress to caregivers and families on a regular basis. Pediatric experience and/or school experience in this field is highly preferred. At the Children's Center, every day is a new adventure! New Grads are welcome and would receive mentorship from 1 of 2 onsite OTR's and a COTA. We are looking for a person who would do part-time to full-time work 26 to 32 hours per week. Our school is expanding, and we need your assistance. This is a great opportunity to work with an excellent team. We are a positive, fun energetic group. We have been recognized by the National Association of Special Education Teachers as a School of Excellence for 2026. This position will begin July 29th, at the beginning of the school year, although we are interviewing now. Pay range is between $32 to $38 p/h, and includes medical benefits, paid Dental, paid Vision, $100,000 paid Life insurance, paid holidays, PTO, and paid Christmas and Spring breaks.
Requirements:
Must have received their associate's degree or higher from an accredited COTA program and hold an AZ State License. Must have a current Arizona fingerprint clearance card, must pass a background clearance check, CPR/First Aid card, Arizona State Driver's license, able to pass a drug test, have three written letters of reference, and be willing to get training on Safety Care (we can provide training).
