Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, supporting school-based therapy in a collaborative setting. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the academic year, with guaranteed 40-hour work weeks (Monday through Friday). You'll engage directly with students and deliver both direct and indirect services, playing a key role in their educational journey. Begin your assignment on August 6, 2026, and continue making an impact through May 27, 2027. The structure of this position allows you to focus solely on your therapy responsibilities—no extra duties such as bus or parent pickup required. Travel therapists are eligible for stipends to help support your transition and assignments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Experience in a school setting is strongly preferred Ability to collaborate with occupational therapists, education staff, and families Proficient in delivering services in accordance with student IEPs and district procedures Strong organizational and communication skills Active state licensure (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy support services to students as directed by an Occupational Therapist Document and report on student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable input to student care plans Collaborate with educators and related service providers to promote student success Travel therapists apply learned best practices across diverse settings
