Occupational Therapist/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Able Kids AZ LLC San Tan Valley, AZ Job Details Contract $45 - $55 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities Teamwork Outdoor work experience Occupational Therapy COTA Full Job Description ABLE Kids AZ is hiring an Occupational Therapist/Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our collaborative pediatric therapy team in San Tan Valley. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide individualized occupational therapy in both traditional clinical settings and engaging, natural environments.
Our clinic provides:
Traditional clinic-based occupational therapy Equine-assisted therapeutic activities Aquatic therapy Sensory-rich outdoor and ranch-based experiences Collaboration with speech-language pathologists and other pediatric professionals The position will evaluate(OT) and treat children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, motor coordination challenges, and other neurodevelopmental needs. Treatment may address fine-motor development, visual-motor integration, sensory regulation, self-care skills, functional participation, attention, and independence in daily activities. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations (OT) Develop individualized, functional treatment plans (OT) Provide evidence-based pediatric occupational therapy(OT/COTA) Incorporate equine, aquatic, outdoor, and clinic-based activities when clinically appropriate(OT/COTA) Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines(OT/COTA) Communicate with families, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary team(OT/COTA) Monitor progress and modify treatment plans based on each child's needs(OT) Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment(OT/COTA) Qualifications Graduate degree from an accredited occupational therapy program Current Arizona Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for Arizona licensure Current NBCOT certification Pediatric experience preferred Experience working with children with autism and developmental disabilities is highly valued Interest in animal-assisted, aquatic, sensory-based, or nature-based therapy Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Ability to work safely in indoor, outdoor, ranch, and pool environments Why Join ABLE Kids AZ?
