To Be Determined Job Description SUMMARY Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides occupational therapy services including treatment, implementation, standardized assessment data, and documentation to students in the school setting. Reviews and consults with an Occupational Therapists on an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) to provide services for a student who qualifies for occupational therapy services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited university Successful completion of the NBCOT exam and current COTA certification. Certification must be maintained current during course of employment. Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card Verbal & Written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instruction At least 2 years of experience working with youth ages 3-18 ADDITIONAL

REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Work Calendar:

9.5 month Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. For more information on salary schedule, please reference the Employee Agreements Webpage. New Teachers to the District may be eligible for a one-time recruitment stipend (up to $5,000) if hired into one of the following positions: Ex Ed, Math, Science. Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
