Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, working directly with elementary students in a vibrant school setting near Anaheim, CA. Key Experience and Qualifications:
Current COTA license or certification, with eligibility to practice in California Previous experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with therapists, teachers, and families A passion for empowering students to develop functional and academic skills Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, supporting students' developmental and educational goals Collaborate with educational staff and families to deliver best practices in occupational therapy Document student progress and daily notes in accordance with school and professional standards Contribute to IEP meetings by sharing insights on student progress and strategies Adapt therapy activities to be engaging and accessible for elementary-aged children Promote independence and participation within the classroom and school routines
Position Details:
