Role:
Inclusive Learning Partners (ILP) is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide direct occupational therapy services to students in school-based settings. You'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR) to support students with moderate to severe disabilities in developing fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skills necessary for classroom participation and educational success. This role is ideal for candidates who are collaborative, flexible, and passionate about making a difference in the lives of students through hands-on, skill-building interventions in a dynamic school environment. Required Qualifications Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program Current certification with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) At least 6 months of school-based or pediatric experience (required) Familiarity with IEP systems, progress monitoring, and data collection Must be willing to undergo a criminal background clearance and Livescan fingerprinting through the California Department of Justice and FBI TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Willingness to complete all necessary ILP and state-mandated trainings during onboarding Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students with significant physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities Skilled in adaptive equipment use and classroom modifications Strong communication and teamwork skills with teachers, OTs, and related service providers Key Responsibilities Provide direct OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs, under OT supervision Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans designed by the supervising OTR Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive daily living skills Collect data on student performance and progress, and report findings to the supervising OTR Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other service providers to integrate strategies into the classroom Maintain accurate service documentation in compliance with school district and state requirements Participate in IEP meetings as needed, offering input on progress and strategies Employee Perks and Benefits Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Chiropractic Insurance Paid Sick Time, PTO & Holidays CEU reimbursement 401(k) Referral bonuses Supportive, responsive team (Benefits eligibility may vary depending on employment status) Why Work With ILP?
