Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into an engaging contract opportunity as a part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working with elementary-aged students. This rewarding 18-hour per week position, scheduled over three days from 8:30am to 2:30pm, offers the chance to provide meaningful support and positively impact young learners during their formative school years. Ideal candidates bring enthusiasm for working with children, adaptability in a school environment, and dedication to team collaboration. Using your clinical expertise, you'll help students develop independence and success in their academic setting.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Current, valid COTA certification Experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles as applied to children Ability to work effectively with other school professionals, teachers, and families Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills Compassionate, flexible, and resourceful approach to addressing students' needs
Responsibilities:
Support licensed Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy services to elementary-aged students Implement intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills Collect and record data on student progress and assist in updating treatment plans Adapt and modify classroom materials or activities as appropriate Foster supportive and positive relationships with students Communicate observations and collaborate regularly with school staff and parents This part-time schedule provides the perfect balance for professionals seeking meaningful work with students while still enjoying flexibility throughout the week.
