Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing crucial support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for students ranging from PreK to post-secondary ages. In this school setting, you'll work collaboratively with educators and under the supervision of a dedicated Occupational Therapist, supporting a diverse caseload of 50-70 students. This position begins August 10, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, with a consistent workweek of 30 hours. Your expertise will help foster student independence, enhance participation, and promote functional skills within the classroom and school environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience in school-based settings is highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Interest in or experience working with diverse student age groups (PreK through post-secondary) Ability to collaborate with supervising Occupational Therapist, teachers, and families Understanding of IEP documentation and special education procedures
Your Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals, under OT supervision Assist with assessments, data collection, and progress monitoring Foster development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning in the classroom Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to implement strategies and modifications Accurately document services provided and track student progress using school-approved systems Participate in team meetings to review student needs and share insights Enjoy the variety and fulfillment that comes from working with students of all ages, building your skills in a supportive school environment.
