We're looking for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a team in Hayward, CA on a 14-week contract. The assignment starts ASAP and follows a consistent schedule: Sunday through Saturday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. This role is open to travel and local candidates. Pay rates are
Travel:
$1,505/35-hours and
Local:
$1,484/35-hours. What you'll need A valid, active Occupational Therapy Assistant state license. What you'll be doing Work alongside the Occupational Therapist to assess patients and pinpoint physical and functional limitations. Help develop and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Lead interventions and therapeutic activities that improve motor skills, mobility, and daily living independence. Teach patients how to use assistive devices and adaptive equipment safely and effectively. Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation including progress notes, treatments, and any changes in condition. Coach patients and family members on at-home exercises and strategies to support ongoing recovery. Communicate regularly with the OT and the broader healthcare team to ensure coordinated care. Follow all safety and infection-control procedures to keep the therapy environment safe. Provide emotional support and encouragement as patients work toward their goals.
