The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in outpatient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology, along with a commitment to enhancing patient care and rehabilitation outcomes. Duties Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care in outpatient settings. Conduct assessments and document patient progress towards goals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient needs. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities. Maintain accurate records of patient treatment and outcomes. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills. Skills Proficient knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health practices. Experience is preferred. Ability to follow care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on rehabilitation goals. Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices is advantageous. Capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
