Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Assist occupational therapists in providing therapy services to patients
- Implement treatment plans and interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist
- Help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities and regain independence
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with acute care settings and occupational health practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
