Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a supportive and dynamic school environment near San Bernardino, with services centered in Rancho Cucamonga. This contract opportunity covers a maternity leave starting at the beginning of the school year, running from August 3, 2026, through November 20, 2026—with the potential to extend through the winter break. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Depending on experience, compensation ranges from $35 to $45 per hour.
What You'll Bring:
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred Knowledge of best practices for delivering OT support in educational environments Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, students, and families The ability to adapt quickly and provide consistent, quality care to students in a fast-paced, evolving school day Strong organization and documentation skills to maintain student records and progress reports
Role Highlights:
Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services and interventions tailored for K-12 students Implement individual and group activities under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) Foster student independence and participation in school routines and classroom activities Monitor, document, and communicate student progress towards therapeutic goals Engage with teachers and families to support student learning and success In this role, you'll be part of a welcoming school community where your skills support both students and staff.
