Duties Implement and adapt occupational therapy programs tailored to each patient's unique needs across inpatient, outpatient, home health, school, and skilled nursing facilities. Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop effective treatment plans. Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including self-care routines such as dressing, grooming, and feeding. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless case management and discharge planning for optimal patient outcomes. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently in compliance with healthcare regulations. Support clients with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders by providing specialized interventions and caregiver education. Engage in evidence-based practice to continuously refine treatment strategies and improve patient care quality. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in pediatric occupational therapy is highly desirable. Demonstrated expertise in occupational therapy assessments, treatment plan development, and implementing therapy programs across diverse settings such as clinics, schools, or home health. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the use of clinical documentation tools is essential for accurate patient care reporting. Experience working with students with special education needs or in early intervention programs is a plus. Acute care experience in settings like ICU or inpatient units enhances your ability to manage complex cases effectively. Familiarity with post-acute care environments such as skilled nursing facilities or outpatient clinics will support your success in this role.
